Addictive pretzels coated in Nutella and powdered sugar that take only 5 minutes to make. The prefect sweet and salty snack!

    Nutella Pretzel Snack

Last week, when I shared my recipe for sugar candied nuts, I talked about my lack of self-control around snacks. As much as I love those nuts, today’s snack takes my addiction to a whole new level. Just try to imagine dipping pretzels into Nutella – doesn’t it sound heavenly? Will you be able to stop at just one small pretzel? Yep, that’s what I thought. I couldn’t stop, either.

These Nutella pretzel snacks are crunchy, sweet, and salty. They take only 5 minutes to make, but even if they took an hour, they would honestly still be worth it. You’ll only need 3 ingredients – pretzels, Nutella, and powdered sugar. First, you’ll need to mix the pretzels and Nutella together. The Nutella should have a smooth, pourable consistency that is easy to stir, but if needed, microwave for a few seconds (I didn’t need to microwave mine). Stir the mixture gently to prevent the pretzels from breaking, until every pretzel is fully coated. Next, add the powdered sugar and mix until evenly coated. The powdered sugar will make the sticky Nutella mixture dry and easy to snack on. You can add more powdered sugar if it’s still sticky.
Despite all the sugar, this snack doesn’t taste overly sweet. At least, I don’t think it does. 🙂

Nutella Pretzel Snack (2)I wouldn’t suggest keeping this at room temperature for more than a few hours as the Nutella will moisten the pretzels pretty quickly and they will lose their crunch, although it will still be delicious. I’ve found that the best way to store these are to freeze them. You don’t need to thaw them in order to eat, either; I actually ate some straight from the freezer and they tasted amazing. I usually like to freeze most of my desserts to prevent myself from eating them, but it didn’t work for me this time. 🙂

    Nutella Pretzel Snack

Addictive pretzels coated in Nutella and powdered sugar that take only 5 minutes to make. The prefect sweet and salty snack!
    YIELD 4 cups

    Ingredients

    • 4 cups pretzels
    • ⅔ cup Nutella
    • 1 cup powdered sugar

    Instructions

    1. If Nutella is not soft and easily pourable, place into a medium microwave-safe bowl and heat for 45-60 seconds.
    2. Place pretzels in a large bowl. Pour in the Nutella and gently mix (so that the pretzels won’t break) until all pretzels are evenly coated. Add powdered sugar and again mix until evenly coated.
    3. Store in an airtight container or plastic zip top bag.
    4. Serve immediately or freeze for up to a month and serve chilled.

That looks AMAZING!!! Sounds like a perfect combination, salty from the pretzels and sweet from the nutella and sugar… Ahh… I can almost taste it!
It sounds a lot like puppy chow. Have you heard of it?
